Code of Conduct for Students

Students should treat school staff with respect at all times and be courteous to fellow students.

Students should refrain from damaging any form of school property. The school reserves the right to be compensated by the student for any such damages.

Students must refrain from littering and keep the school premises clean.

Unacceptable behavior including irregular attendance, academic dishonesty, and neglect of assignment, disruptive behavior, loitering and disrespectful behavior towards staff or fellow students will result in serious disciplinary action.

Any misbehavior or violation of school discipline will be dealt by the disciplinary committee and corrective action will be taken. In extreme cases parents will be called in to discuss the child’s behavior and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the school.

The medium of instruction is English.

It is compulsory to wear the school issued ID card every day.

For safety and security, parents should refrain from sending money with their child without specific written notice from the school.

For safety and security, parents should refrain from sending valuables (like expensive Jewellery, electronic items, etc.) to school.

Use of swear words and foul language, scribbling and scratching on school furniture and school walls and any misbehavior in school buses and public places will be strictly dealt with.

Children are advised to behave in an orderly manner in the school and in public places.

The cost of repairs caused by damage to school property will be charged to the students concerned.
Code of Discipline and Decorum
Absenteeism

Students absenting themselves from school for any reason whatsoever must bring an explanatory letter from the parent /guardian and an entry should be made in the specified place in the diary. Failure to comply will result in appropriate action.

Parents/Guardian requiring a student to take leave must first apply for permission (in writing) from the principal. Even so, this is not encouraged and leave will only be granted for special reasons.

If a student is away from school for 2 or more days, due to reasons of sickness, a valid medical certificate must accompany the letter as required above, failing which appropriate action will be taken.

A minimum attendance of 90% will be required for an academic year.
Visitors

Visitors to the school during class hours are discouraged. However, under special circumstances they may be permitted to meet the teacher, students, staff etc. only after receiving the permission from the Administration.
Parent-School Interaction

Parents/Guardians are required to attend all the Peace parenting/open house sessions during the academic year to assess the progress of children.

Parents/Guardian should read the notes written in this diary everyday, put their initials and they can convey their opinions through it.

Fees should be paid by due date (before 5th day of the month). The child will not be allowed to attend the school if a fee is over due by month.
School Uniform

The school uniform includes T-shirt, trousers/pants/pinafore, belt, ID card, socks and black school shoes.

The dress code must be followed during the school hours as well as at all school events.

The uniforms must be washed and well pressed.

Only black uniform shoes are allowed. The shoes must be polished daily. Black sandals can be worn in rainy season.

Hair must be well groomed.

Nails must be cut weekly.

The pinafore must be long enough to cover the knees in standing/sitting position.

Girls with long hair should plait it or tie it back. It should not fall over the face or eyes. Ribbons or hair bands, if used, must be black.

Side burns, fancy and irregular haircuts are not allowed.

Use of jewellery / hair gel which become a nuisance or attract undue attention in a study situation will not be permitted.

Trousers and pants are to be worn above the hip · All buttons on T-shirt are to be fastened at all times.
* Civilian or colour dress can be worn by students on any day of the week decided by school.
Transportation Rules

Parent or a person authorized by the parent must be there at the bus point for picking and dropping their ward. If the parent has authorized that the student can be left unattended, the local transportation provider may leave the student at the bus point.

If the parent or the authorized person is not there at the bus point, the student shall be brought back to school. In that case the parent must collect their ward from school.

The student who is picked first will be dropped first.

Students must ride their assigned bus to and from their assigned stop. Switching buses for any reason is strictly prohibited unless approved by the administrator. In that case, the parent must submit an application in writing to the administrator. Permission will be granted only for genuine reasons. Administrator has the discretion to reject the applications.

Transportation rules are subject to change without prior notice.

Bus points must be clarified and fixed at the time of the admission or reopening of the school.

Complaints regarding route schedules or school bus stops will be addressed to the Conveyance Coordinator. Complaints regarding discipline on board school buses will be addressed to the Principal.

Parents must not ask the drivers to change the routes at any costs.

Students are not supposed to carry toys, items in glass containers, or other dangerous objects in the bus.
